Notes
An absolutely stellar Alsatian Cremant from Achillee here.
On opening it's redolent with crunchy, granny smith apple goodness, but as it breathes, shows more and more bread, toast, honey & general autolytic fullness.
As I recall this is mostly Riesling with splashes of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and a few other bits and bobs, all Biodynamically grown. Sulphur free & zero Dosage.
Really hard to think of a sub-$60 Champagne that even approaches this. In a time when the big brands are soaring in price, bottles like this should be rightfully staking their place on tables around the country. - Liam
