Notes
"This is made up of fruit mostly from Nathan Burley’s vineyard, which is next door to Agricola home base, and then fruit comes from old vines out the front of Agricola, and there’s a barrel from Christa Dean’s spot up the road. Flaxman represent!
Savoury shiraz at a medium weight with fine bones and freshness on its side. Has game meat and undergrowth notes, brambly blackberries, a touch of alpine herb and eucalyptus/Aussie bush going on. Tension and torsion in the palate – lithe, albeit dark fruited, that savouriness strong in the suede tannin profile and an almost Italianate feel in that regard. This is outstanding stuff here. Finesse, elegance and detail the motif. And straight up deliciousness. This one really purrs."
