Description

As far as I know this will be the first release of Anderson Fort wines, a project between mates Bryan Fort and second gen vigneron Liam Anderson of Wild Duck Creek fame. Liam thinks broadly and has been eking out small changes at WDC over past years, but has also planted a vineyard at Mia Mia in the south of Heathcote which is the reason for being of this wine. Definitely one to watch for.

Inky wine of depth and power, ripe plummy fruit, firm, graphite and stone tannins, brisk acidity and a big sense of richness and depth. Quite seriously grippy and yet also quite lush, this does a lot of things at the heftier end of the shiraz landscape, but feels balanced, intriguing, quite elemental and surprisingly savoury. Very Serious Shiraz, done in a righteous way.
