Notes
93 Points - Campbell Mattinson, Wine Front, "60/40 blend of sangiovese and syrah, all biodynamically grown on Castagna's Beechworth estate. It has the fruit and the perfume but it's a sinewy wine, its laces draped throughout, a weave of flavour. It's light, it's fragrant, it has pull and carry. We're looking at redder berry flavours but with no less insistence. There's that trace of fennel, as there always is, but there's fresh leather and roses too, and a lick of smoky cedarwood, charcuterie. It just a beautiful wine, slightly lighter than usual but no less characterful."
