Vermentino vineyard planted in 2009. Planted by Papa Koerner. The grapes bronze up on the outside, but inside the bunch very green, ‘two grapes in one' offers Koener Jnr. Rolle is destemmed and left on skins in press, then fermented in big wood, on lees, natural yeast.Slippery texture, soft, slightly lactic, some sea spray and fino sherry notes, green mango, pear. Lovely! A textural experience with freshness on its side. Yeasty, lees influence builds detail. Really good medium weight feeling white wine.
