"The sub region seems to be Serra de Estrela here. It is from a mix of many many grape varieties, red and white as I understand, from small plots of abandoned vines resuscitated by Antonio Madeira, a hero as such of Dao. Gosh, this is delicious to drink. Frisky, crisp and refreshing red brightly floral in perfume with sour cherry and cranberry whiffs in tow. The palate is more of the cranberry tang, with that dryness you get from sipping on cranberry drink, a fine, powdery flick of tannin all over it. The length wanders, but the gist is a red of vibrancy and ease of consumption with good structure and detail. I find these kinds of reds very lovely." 93 Points Mike Bennie - TWF
