Deepish purple/red colour, with a reserved but clean, fresh aroma of herbs and plums, and some cabernet-like cassis. The palate is tight and firm, tense and lean, with some elegance as well as grip. It's a firmer, more upright style of shiraz - if indeed it's pure shiraz. It tastes like there's something else in there, stiffening its backbone. Good value.Huon Hooke - The Real Review
