Notes
From a vineyard that Sub Rosa manage themselves. Only nine rows of shiraz in this vineyard. Natural ferment, de-stemmed fruit, hangs out in used oak for a while, no filtering or fining. “Kinda wanted it fresh and approachableâ€, says winemaker Adam Louder.Peppery whiffs, dark berries and dark cherry, scents of Chinese five spice, anise. Light feeling in the palate, lick of leafiness and herbs over darker fruit, big dusting of pepper. Juicy, bright, squeaky acidity, velvety yet tightly wound and pure. High drinkability and good Grampians character.Mike Bennie - The Wine FrontTasted June 2016
