The vintage 2020 was another very special Riesling year in the Moselle. It was the third warm year in a row with prolonged periods of drought. An early bloom resulted in an unusually early harvest in mid-September. The Riesling harvest took place under ideal weather conditions. The grape picking was smooth and relaxed with no time pressure from overripe grapes developing too early. The grapes looked perfectly ripe and golden yellow in color with a nicely balanced acidity. As a result, this gives classic biodynamic Riesling wines that are lively and well textured with refined aromas. The Sybille Kuntz Weingut Riesling Qualitätswein trocken has a complex nose with notes of grapefruit, lime, chamomile and something of honey and white flowers. Wonderfully fresh and elegant, beautifully dry with ripeness and tension and a playful sweet-sour balance that characterizes the wines from the Moselle so beautifully!
