"A blend of vineyards, central and western Victorian wine regions and merlot, cabernet sauvignon, syrah and cabernet franc. It’s a pale pink-orange colour, succulent and slightly hazy in texture, very savoury, lifted with some pleasing bitterness and yet pretty with light, tart, stone fruit and wild, slightly sweet strawberry fruit characters. It’s just shy of medium-bodied yet gives the sense of weight and great presence in the palate. There’s a touch of brine to the undercarriage of the wine, some green almond in there lending savouriness, a touch of blood orange in the finish. Dried fruit aromas abound on the nose, quince jelly too, and in the mouth the wine is lively and fresh, crisp and appetising, with good acidity augmenting the richness and silky mouth-feel.
