Notes
"There’s to be no more 1946 made from now on, as in from vintage 2023. Just one Lovedale.
GW: Lots of lime and honey nuts, floral. Intense lime and lemon power is turned up in 2018, with a lot of flavour, some toast creeping in, fine powdery/chalky texture, and lemon curd richness with lemon zest and crunchy acidity on a long finish. Plenty of grunt, though of course it’s still a fine Semillon. 95 points
KS: Mix of crushed aromatic herbs with lavender, thyme, oregano. Limes and ground cucumbers underneath, earthy elements, with purity and tingling quality on the palate with gentle radish spice and crunch. Toasty character foreshadowing, talcum powder texture, milky finish–interesting combination. There’s no denying the finesse and deliciousness of this wine but if I could wish for something, I’d wish for a longer finish. 94+ points"

The Wine Front
Description
To be released next year at cellar door, then for commercial release in five years.
Crisp and clear, perfume and hints of fennel, lime. Light, tight and very direct with great drive and clean minerally acidity, a tiny amount of chalkiness, and a very long citrus finish. Austere and traditional, though seems much ‘cleaner’ than your usual Lovedale. Bracing. Not a wine for now, but great things in store.
